So where am I in life and in this small 3rd planet from the sun we call Earth?

In less than week I will be celebrating 4 years since I moved to this beautiful and vibrant city known as Madrid. San Diego and Tijuana are beautiful and I will always be proud to call these bi-national cities my hometowns (Chica Fronteriza for life!) however, like most people did during the pandemic I had time and space to stop and evaluate were I was in life and was this fulfilling. Short answer is that I realized I felt like a cog in the machine and checking a box in society’s expectations was not good for my spirit. So a la Elizabeth Gilbert: I paid my debts, returned my leased car, and packed my suitcases and moved to Madrid to finish my education with the intention of making a life for myself in this city.

What to Expect From the Blog?

While Paloma and Pamela have chosen blogging retirement I can tell you that they are doing amazing things in life and more importantly (as true intensas) have given me their blessing to take over the this baby blog of ours. I am still a mexicomaericana girly “ni de aquí, ni de alla” only now in another country exploring and experiencing new borders. I will share my experience as an Expat, share my as I discover great food, sharethe new places I’ve seen but always through the unique lens us bi-nationals have to see the world. I hope to inspire you gals to take the road less traveled not only physically but also in the choices you take in your day to day. I hope to inspire you girlies to, yes focus on growing professionally, but to never forget to have fun and enjoy your time off by leaving the couch and explore! Make sure to keep your inner child happy!
